I read a lot of interesting articles about the Birthplace of Country Music Alliance’s work with the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington DC the last couple of weeks. We had a lot of local people up there performing and sharing our area’s music with the world.
My son, John, over at thudfactor.com visited the Festival and took a few pictures for me. Check these photos out. Remember: to return to this window, just close the photo window.
The Country Music Mural located on State Street in Bristol TN was reproduced on the Mall.
Behind the Mural a stage was built, resembling a Pickin’ Porch.
Here’s a view from the Right of the Porch.
And here is a view of one of the local groups performing at the Festival.
Many thanks to John for his photographic support. Check out his website. He photodocuments his travels.
